The introduction of LED technology to decorative lighting has rendered the traditional Christmas light an attractive option for many decorative lighting applications. LEDs have now also been used to create a cooler operating and more efficient rope light set. Both of these versatile, long-lasting, and energy-efficient LED lighting products are great solutions for a number of year-round applications. This highly efficient lighting technology consumes only a fraction of the energy consumed by traditional incandescent lights and can be operated daily with little impact on your utility bill...

For those of you who participated in our Christmas light recycling program I am pleased to announce that we mailed or emailed all of the recycling program coupons last week. We have received several emails from participants about the status of the coupons. We received several thousand submissions and tried very hard to be sure that all those who sent us lights were entered into our database. However, in some cases we were unable to locate the contact information for the participant and/or the information provided was no legible or incomplete. If you participated in the program and did...

I'm not sure that there was much debate about this with incandescent Christmas lights (or much of a choice for that matter) because the ability to change the incandescent bulbs was an absolute requirement because the lamps would not last very long. I read an editorial this afternoon in the Barrie Examiner from Ontario, Candada entitled "Earth Hour Meaningless." I probably wouldn't have known about Earth Hour if Google hadn't decided to support it and turn it's home page black. Earth Hour was last night and willing participants were supposed to turn out the lights from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. top raise awareness of conservation and global climate change.

Pretty cool concept...
