Good product but why the large price increase?
I purchased this case 3 years ago for $199 and eleven of the twelve strands have lasted 3 seasons (I'm currently trying to return the broken one under the lifetime warranty policy). We now have more bushes and were hoping to decorate more this year, but now the price is almost $40 more than it was 3 years ago. I am surprised b/c usually we pay a premium for new technology (e.g. LEDs), and then the price comes down as the technology becomes more mainstream. Maybe the product has significantly improved or the cost of LEDs have increased dramatically, or maybe they moved the labor on-shore. All would be reasonable. Just not sure I'm willing to pay the premium this year.

Hi and thank you for your comments. Prices have gone up a bit this year. While you are correct that typically new technology goes down in price as it become more mainstream. The cost of the LEDs themselves have actually gone down. However, the price of certain commodities such as copper and petroleum (a cost for both the plastic and the shipping) have increased significantly. Labor costs in China have also increased significantly and are expected to increase again next year. In your case, I also think that you purchased this when we were running a special because $199 for a case of 12 is a very low price. I think that if you shop around you'll find that our price on this product is inline with that of other online retailers selling the same product. If you have a bad strand please contact customer service and we will gladly replace it.
Love these lights
I decided to finally break down and give Holidayleds.com a try this year. LED lights in our area were selling in the $21 price range for a 25' foot LED set, but very low quality.
These lights are wonderful. The "warm white" closely matches our older non-led sets that are on our other bushes but are slightly brighter. They simply look awesome. The wire is a heavy gauge and you can really feel the difference compared to my other "commercial grade" stuff from the local stores.
Shipping was fast and because they used Fedex Ground, my lights actually showed up on a Saturday.
With free shipping to boot, I not only saved money but received a quality product as well.
I'll be buying more to replace the rest of my sets.
